Following on the success of the previous editions, The Military Advantage, 2010 Edition is the annual reference guide providing the most current and complete guide to both active military and veterans benefits. Written by Terry Howell, benefits expert for Military.com, the guide is backed by the resources of Military.com and its parent company, Monster.com. The Military Advantage is the most reliable benefits guide for the over 30 million Americans who have answered the call to serve in the military. These valuable benefits include billions in scholarships, educational benefits, home loan guarantees, and military discounts. The Military Advantage is the one essential resource for everyone with military or veterans' benefits. This reference guide is a proven guide to making the most of military service whether one is on active duty, a veteran, a military retiree, or a family member. All too often, these extraordinary benefits go unused or overlooked by those serving in uniform or retired from service. The Military Advantage unlocks the availability of all of these benefits. In a straight-forward guide that is an easy-to-use reference, full of insider tips, little-known benefits, shortcuts, and answers to frequently asked questions. While information about these military and veterans benefits may be available elsewhere from various government and military sources, this book collects all of those valuable resources into a concise, well-organized reference guide and provides important advice about taking advantage of these benefits. Every year veteran benefits change, and the current year is no exception; in fact 2009 has been a very active year for veteran's benefits legislation. In the 2010 edition of The Military Advantage, readers will find the latest updates to existing benefits, including the New Post-9/11 GI Bill and the expansion in the Military Family Leave policy. The Military Advantage is published in partnership with Military.com, the nation's largest military membership organization. With over 10 Million members, Military.com is the most trusted name in the military community for information about benefits, career, education and financial services. Military.com is owned by Monster.com, the nation's largest website for careers and jobs.

AFQT percentile score - 83

Before taking the ASVAB I already have an Associates degree in communications and electronics. After going through this reviewer I scored an 83 for theAir Force. I recommend this book for somebody out of high school or someone who need a refresher course trying to get into the military. This book is not up to date. There are 10 categories in the actual ASVAB (computerized test) instead of the information in the book. I still recommend this book since it has plenty of useful information to increase your score. I am actually qualified for themajority of the jobs that the Air Force has to offer.
