Amazingly written ...

I can still smell the woods as I did when I first read this adventure which takes a young boy through the Georgia mountains. I read the book in the mid 1980s after meeting the author who is a lovely woman with whom I have lost touch. I am thrilled to find that she has been faithfully writing. Her talent is God-given and from the heart. Had I not discovered young adult literature (at a not so young age) I would have missed out on some of the best books written. This is one of them.
