When the Sardines receive an ominous, otherworldly message, they must decide if they'll use their newfound powers to stop an impending disaster -- one that could have more to do with the war, their bullies, and glowboarding than they can possibly imagine.

I pretty much loved everything about this book!

This did have the creepy sci-fi Stranger Things vibe, as advertised, but it was also so much more. It had mystery and suspense, the glowboarding competitions added extra excitement, and the friendship issues between the kids were believable and touching. Although it's a middle grade book, I would recommend it for any age above 9. I thoroughly enjoyed it even as an adult reader.
