A Great Instructional Book

This book was used at a university course (CIS 110) that I require for my business degree, and it was very helpful. All of the instructions are accompanied by illustrations (which is great when you're wondering, "Where is that button that they're talking about?"), speeding up the learning process. The projects at the end of each section were very constructive, and the data disk helps out a lot on these. I learned a lot about Word, Access, and Excel, and although we didn't have the chance to go into Powerpoint, the book is self-explanatory enough that I can go through it on my own. This was also helpful when I missed a class, because I could then just go through the required section, which actually was more thorough than the in-class lecture (sometimes, the instructor missed a couple of examples from the chapter). I love using Excel and Access now (they scared me before), and also Word, which I always used, but learned a lot about. I am interested in buying the Post Advanced Concepts book to become an expert, especially in Excel since I am heading towards a major in accounting, which requires a lot of spreadsheet work.
