Decent study guide.

I'll have to say, you 'could' pass this exam using only this study guide... however, it would be difficult.Some chapters are lacking in depth.Don't regret buying it, but would also supplement this study guide with an ExamCram book.

A must have for the self starter

Excellent for those that don't want to pay for the expensive training classes and books. This book has hundred of example questions within the text as well as many "watch-out" type of alerts. I would highly recommend this book to anyone on the MCP or MCSE path.

Brilliant!!!

This is the most interactive study guide you could use for you MCSE. Yes, I have seen them all, from Que, to Sybex, New Rider, Sams, the only one that can compete favourably, if not better is the IDG book, however due to its size, you end up reading the same thing over and over again for the exams. The author take you through without making any assumptions, sometimes you can feel his presence as he takes you along, warn you where you are likely to fall and areas you may take for granted for the exam. The introduction to each chapter is informative, the "from the classroom" give you real live issues, the summary and the two minute drill allows you confirm what you have studied which is also good for last minute revision before the exam. The exam watch prompt you what to expect form the exam, Finally the CD includes sample text from five different vendors. Apart from being good for the exam, it equally serves as a good reference book. A good Buy.

Very good study guides for exam prep with lots of exams

I am responsible for making sure three members of my team get their MCSE certification. We sent them to an ATEC course and also bought copies of the Workstation, Server and Enterprise books in this series. They were an excellent complement to the course and reinforced all of the major points that will be on the exam. There are many demo exams on the CD...although they are generally not the full package there are enough questions overall to test yourself.

This book contains many helpful features.

After reaching frustration saturation with the Sybex Workstation study guide, I went to a local bookstore to purchase the New Riders guide, where I "accidently" discovered this book. I spent about an hour in the bookstore reading this book and decided to purchase it. I am glad I did! I found the 2 minute drills at the end of each chapter very helpful. The questions at the end of the chapter were a great deal more challenging than the ones in the Sybex books. I experienced the authors "From the classroom" comments more distracting than helpful. Just the facts, please. All things considered, this is an excellent study guide which jumped my practice test scores from 60% to 90%.
