My boys noticed that it's a little different than the cartoon but they loved it all the same. I like that it's big and sturdy so little hands will have a tougher time messing it up.

Christmas with Max

A great hit with my three year old granddaughter who loves all books about Max.

More than a regular board book

Though it's categorized as a board book, this full-size hardback combines board-like laminated cardboard pages with a soft, cushy cover. Complete with multiple illustrations on each page, it's perfect to read to a infant in your lap, and durable enough he or she can play with it when you're done. The story is sweet. When Ruby wants to decorate a Christmas tree with ornaments, popcorn and other traditional items, Max has ideas of his own, such as gummy worms, rubber snakes and vampire teeth. The two join forces, however, to place a star on top.
