THIS BOOK TAUGHT ME HOW TO PROGRAM!

This is the book that tought me how to program! Today I work as a web developer for a large publishing company and am in charge of over 50 different websites and one MASSIVE IBM os/390 data warehouse. I picked this book up when I was 15 and that was it! If I hadn't picked this book up who knows what prision I'd be in now.. Thank you Mr. Swan!

Excellent Starter for Object Oriented Programming

One of Tom Swan's best works. Written in his usual converstional style with pretty much bug free examples. A book I still use for ideas in designing OOP stuff.

A good book for all levels of programers

The book is solid in its contents and details. It is usefull for the intermediate to advanced programer, and could also be usefull to beginers. Its glossary, and specially the encyclopedia of turbo pascal instructions, functions and procedures is very complete, covering examples, usage, railroad diagrams, etc. It Explains all from the basic pascal structure, to the complex issues of memory management. It is by far the best book of programing I have read. Recently I began to study Visual C++, and had to buy 3 different books just to get close to cover all the items that mastering turbo pascal 4.0 covers. If you want to learn turbo pascal, you probably won't need anything else...
