Success again

Marrying Mom took me all of one day to read. I just could not put it down. The characters were so real and the plot was just hysterical. If your stuck in the house or feeling blue, this is most definitely the book to get you laughing again.Olivia, keep up the good work!

Delightful fun!

This is a wonderfully delicious read, sheer fun from beginning to end. So what if the "Mom" of the title is a real pain in the butt? So what if her adult children are three totally neurotic, self-obsessed New Yorkers? So what if none of them have the exact idea of what Christmas is all about? It's delightful fun to watch them interact in the month before Christmas when "Mom" decides she's tired of Florida and decides she wants to move north to be with the kids. None of them can imagine living within 1000 miles of her, of course. It's fun to watch their crazed scheme of marrying her off to the first available old man they can find. It's wickedly funny and very easy to read and enjoy.

Hated for it to end!

This was absolutely great!! I started reading it and was hooked before I knew it. Didn't put this book down 'til I read the last word in it (yes I read it all at once) and was realy upset because it ended so fast! This is the kind you hate to put down but hate for it to end! This is the book that takes you away from "real life" for a while (and, I think, a lot of you out there agree with me -- we need this kind of break sometimes).

What a trip!!!!!

This book was so funny and real that it was scary!!!! Ever wonder what that would be like?? Having your mother in your life after all that time? This one is a winner. Olivia shows us her "family" side and does a damn good job at it. This book is short and can be read in 2 sittings.mmr

Never a dull moment...

As usual, Ms. Goldsmith produces a work of humor mixed with surprise. I never could have guessed the ending, although it was entirely believable.
