a classic reissued but what's with the photos?

The original hardcover edition was published in 1978. It was reissued in paperback in 2004 when it was digitally printed. Unfortunately that process seems have ruined the quality of the photos so they look like high-quality xeroxes instead of photos, a bit washed out. So it would be worth your while to get the hardcopy version if good photos are important to you. But otherwise it would be an asset to any underwater archaeology library, especially if you're interested in interpreting wreck processes.
