Maisy's plan to have a quiet read is put to the challenge by her giggling friends in this ode to the pleasures of the local library. Maisy likes going to the library. She loves to read a book in a nice, quiet place. Today, Maisy wants to read a book about fish, but she can only find books about birds or tigers. So she explores some of the other things to do in the library, like using the computer, making copies, listening to music, or looking at fish in the aquarium. Aha Finally Maisy finds a sparkly book all about fish. But just as she settles into a corner to read, along come Cyril, Tallulah, Eddie, and Ostrich -- and they all have noisier activities on their minds
Another 5 star review for Miss Maisy! Such a cute little read and great at educating children about libraries.
The Excitement of the Library

In "Maisy Goes to the Library," Maisy just wants to sit in a favorite place and quietly read a favorite book. It seems like a great plan, but Maisy is about to get a crash-course in all the fun stuff that goes on at a library. Maisy soon starts seeing all of her friends coming in. Charley, Eddy, Tallulah and Cyril --- they're all there! Maisy discovers that there are computers at the library, music and even exciting storytimes. But will Maisy eventually get to read that book? This book is illustrated in the traditional Maisy style that is a bit simplistic but still fun to look at. This story stands up with "D.W.'s Library Card" (from the "Arthur" series) as an excellent introduction to the library.
My 2 year-old loves it!

My daughter loves this book. Especially since we go to the library at least once a week. Maisy is her favorite character. She reads this book over and over again and is never tired of it.
