Magical Indeed

I received this book as a Christmas gift. I already owned Ratisseau's book on Mermaids, so I had high expectations for this book. I was not disappointed. The book is lovely. The hardback is of good quality as are the pages. The pictures are gorgeous. There are quotes from various books, people, songs, etc. about those that practice the art of magic. Each quote has a corresponding picture. The quotes & illustrations refer to a wide variety of cultures and legends, including Greek, Arabian, German, Arthurian, even Tolkien, as well as many others. There is an index, in the back, that lists the title and artist of each picture. I highly recommend this book to those who love magic, mythology, legend, or just beautiful artwork. This is a great piece to keep on the coffee table. Also check out Mermaids (Magical Beings) by the same author.
