A Must Read for either xti or xsi

This book was well worth the money. Very well written and illustrated. Covers much more that the manual that came with the camera and explains the Hows and Whys. Would buy again.

Magic Lantern XTi Review

I just finished reading this guide and it is full of excellent information for users of the Canon EOS Rebel XTi. It provides an excellent coverage for each of the following areas: Features and Functions, In-Camera Processing and File Formats, Camera Menus and the LCD Monitor, Camera Operation Modes, Flash, Lenses and Accessories, and Working with Your Images. It also goes Hand-in-hand with Magic Lantern DVD Guides: Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi. This DVD also provides an excellent visual and verbal guide.

Best guide out there

Magic Lantern guides are all very good, but this one is better than most. I had a Canon XT and upgraded to an XTi (the next, slightly newer model). I also had the XT lantern guide so was hesitant to get the XTi version, thinking it might be a rehash. While there were a few overlapping paragraphs, almost all of the content is entirely new and is specific to the XTi. There are things I can do with that camera that I didn't know existed. There are tips and tricks that make relatively complex tasks easier. I very highly recommend getting this book if you have the XTi. You'll be glad you did.

Magic Lantern Guides

I have two other Canon bodies and have Magice Lantern Guides for both of them. They are invaluable. The Guides go further than those provided by the manufacturers in explaining how the camera works and the various functions.

In-depth, straight foward reading...A must have!

If you have the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi/400D Digital Field Guide by Charlotte K. Lowrie, then you love this one even more. This book goes more into detail about the functions and techniques of the camera (XTi). It's definitely well worth the $13 for the knowledge you'll attain browsing through this book. The book's photos are in black and white, but that's secondary next to the detailed instructions. It's also smaller than the field guide (sizewise, not pagewise), so it can be tucked away in your camerabag easily.
