This book will tell the story of husband and wife, Henry Clay Flynt, Sr. and Cora Rachel Grubbs Flynt of Forsyth County, North Carolina. In the first two chapters we will tell about Clay's and Cora's ancestry. Next we will tell the story of their life. Married in 1910, the couple endured the struggles of starting out with very little and having to share-crop tobacco for a living. (Share-cropping is when a family lives in a small house on someone else's farm, raises the farm owner's eight or nine acres of tobacco each year and gives half of what the tobacco crop sales for, for their family to live there). In 1929 Clay and Cora were able to make a down payment on a farm of their own in Kernersville, North Carolina and the book tells of them raising their eleven children there. These eleven children would go on in life to become very successful and are an example of why America was great during the 20th century. A brief story of each of their lives and families will be discussed in later chapters.Clay Flynt was also an avid fox hunter from the 1930's through the 1950's. The final chapter of this book will be devoted to Clay, his family members and friends who enjoyed this sport so much. Turn the page and enjoy the story of a truly great American family.
