More by Julian Barnes
In smart, rhythmic prose, Julian Barnes can deconstruct English-French relations, marriage, or simply the history of the world -- he can, and has, in a diverse and inventive body of work that includes Flaubert's Parrot, Metroland, and Letters from London.

pretty good

another book that i've had for years and never read. well i just finished it last night. it was pretty good. i could've done without all the "Girlfriend" this and that, but she gave some good advice. it did seem like she jumped around, but i was able to pay attention. to me the book seemed more about her relationship, it wasn't full of advice.

Some of the BEST advice for girls today

"Ain't no skinny chick dyin to get outta me!" Mother Love proclaims. But neither does she condone sloth, laziness, letting your hygiene go, or negative attitudes. Never have I heard more practical advice from a more entertaining source. If you have a teenage daughter, I highly recommend finding this book and letting her read it. Mother Love's advice against being a "skaintch" and attracting "dunderheads" is priceless...
