Deanie Frances Mills does an incredibly spectacular job describing the heart-wrenching events that a small country town goes through once they realize that their home isn't as quaint and innocent as they think it is. Private investigator Dylan Tandy-Armstrong finds herself chosen as the master pawn of a sick game of hide-and-seek as the town's children begin to disappear right under their noses in broad daylight. Hired by the father of one of the missing children, Dylan, with the help of her children and paralyzed former officer of the law husband, must try to crack the case. Only too late does she realize that one of her own may become the next to vanish. I recommend that every parent read this. Mills does a wonderful job of portraying the distraught in which a parent goes through when they realize that one of their own may be in danger.
