My journey to find love took me from Charlotte NC to Dallas TX back to New York. She was the first woman that spoke to my spirit man I got a natural high on love again. Her words were like a Mona Lisa they painted my soul, her body was like the clay of structure it aged with beauty, the melody of her touch was like Beethoven! You would think after two failed marriages and filing for bankruptcy in my early forties that I would give up on the American dream of marriage. But, I wasn't your average person. I overcame every obstacle placed in front of me and marriage wasn't going to be any different. I thanked God every day for my past two marriages, because if it wasn't for them I wouldn't know what it was like to love. It was the lack of knowledge of what a good man could be that brought out what a good man is going to be. My gift to love was concealed by my fear of being hurt; but in the end it was the hurt that brought out the gift to love. Next time, I'm going to look at the beauty of her spirit instead of the beauty of her body, the beauty of her heart instead of her face, the beauty of her need instead of her want. Take my time to get to know the inside of a woman before I explore the outside. Listen to the spirit of the woman, ask the questions that we avoid in the beginning and see if her actions follow. But even with all that I still will speak to God.
