Magnum photographer Sergio Larrain visited London in 1958 to find a city firmly rooted in tradition. Yet in its streets, its parks, its clubs and its cafes Larrain witnessed a city moving towards a new decade - a changing society ready to emerge. Never before published, these powerful photographs present a vivid portrait of a London which has long since disappeared. The book is introduced by Mike Seaborne, Curator of the Historic Photographs Collection at the Museum of London.
for those over there that love and follow Larraín, which is my case, it's such a fantastic book

it gives you kind of an idea of Larraín's work and it works perfect! he was awesome and London shows what he was able to feel and communicate in a country that was not his Valparaiso. Terrific!

Zen in Photography

Sergio Larrain is a great photographer, something you can discover on the pages of this book. He is not only someone who takes shots. He is a person who can capture the spirit of the place, the mood of the people, the unseen of what people see without seeing everyday. London 58-59 is a beautiful small book, a gift for the people who are searching for his masterworks. A real pity that one of the best latinamerican photographers has not published because his desitions of keeping away of the exit, in spite of being part of the MAGNUM group. I recomend to get his works of the city of Valparaiso (chile) and buy any single book where you can find one of his pictures, a rare and exquisite object to keep as a treasure.
