Handy, but limited, and you need to know what you're doing

This book lives up to all it claims. That said you need to understand the meaning of the information. This book is a pocket quick references that will flag the major celestial events for you. It is not an explanation of what those events mean to you. All told I prefer the astrological calendar from the same company (Llwellyn). Much of it is the same info, but in an easy to read calendar format. There is also a website called "ProAstrology" that has much of this info along with free transit reports (I'm not affilliated with that site and as far as I know it is non profit).
very handy

this is the first astrological datebook i have owned, so i dont really know how it compares with others on the market. but i am pretty happy with it so far. its a nice size, very compact, yet there is still enough room to use the calendar pages effectively. the week-at-a-glance pages give the moon's phases and signs, and indicates the v/c times, in both eastern and pacific times. (perfect for scheduling biz meetings, dates, etc.) also listed are planetary change of signs or stations. it has a 3 year ephemeris in the back, and some handy tables, particularly a mercury retrograde table and moon v/c table. my one complaint is the lack of a full/new moon guide by DEGREE. (it gives time and sign of the moons... but not the exact degree, which is important if your checking moon days in relation to natal house positions, which i do regularly. it is annoying to estimate/ calculate the moon's degree it on the ephemeris since it lists degree positions at midnight.) i missed having a moon table like that allot, so i printed one and taped it on the back page.
