Little Raccoon's Big Question

I got this for my grandson as he is in pre-school in a room called the raccoon room. The book is very good and he enjoyed it and he took it to school and the teacher read it to the class. Pictures are cute and story very sweet.

The perfect children's book

This book is beautiful to look at, wonderful to read. Reading this aloud to my four year-old has topped my list of favorite things to do. Flawless. I'm buying a dozen to give them out as birthday gifts to all my child's friends. I've been searching for the perfect children's book, and I've found it!

Perfect

Perfect in every sense - this book is a wonderful marriage of text and illustration. Parents and kids will love it. Writers should study it.

Love, without the syrup + a visual treat!

The illustrations in Little Raccoon's Big Question are wonderful. Little raccoon has a great range of emotion. My son (almost 4) loves the spread where all the young raccoons are playing in the tree. This is a book about a mother's affirmation of her love for her child - a subject that I have seen a lot of recently - HOWEVER, this book rises above the others. The text is spare, effective, and a pleasure to read (yes -again and again!). I love the illustration of Little Raccoon standing on his head. And I like the smart approach to the subject of a parent's unconditional love. This is one of the few picture books I will buy to give to my friends' children! A very good choice.

A lovely book for young children

The text is sweet and engaging. The illustrations are wonderful! They are full of warmth, humor and the kind of detail children really respond to - I highly reccomend this book!
