If your soul is hungry this may be the book for you. I have made an effort to read every book on Taoism that I could find. Some are purely acedemic some, like master Ni's book's are written from his heart, his tradition, and his soul. If inside you there is a calling, you will understand and resonate with what he says. He is, from all of the research I have done, a true teacher. We are lucky that he has left us as comprehensive a legacy as he has. As one of previous reviewers has said Chen Tuan (Life & Teachings of Two Immortals, Volume II) is an advanced text and a very precious one, but it is most certainly worthwhile. As for the negitive review that calls Master Ni a member of "The New Age Movement" This person must obviously be a Taoist master himself Or he just doesn't know what he is talking about. The dogs of ignorance gard the gates of heaven, don't be fooled.

This book is one of the more advanced texts by Master Ni. I would suggest that a person study the simpler works first before getting involved with the more advanced teachings as this one. This text is best understood once the basics are grasped. A simpler work would be "Spiritual Messages of a Buffalo Rider" for anyone who is interested.
