Just started reading this book for the second time. There is so much information . I am scheduled to have a bypass in about a month. You can never have to much knowledge. This is a life altering surgery and this book lets you know what to expect. From the hospital to follow up, recipes and menues.

This is a great book. It is not only informative but funny at times. When going through this surgery you had better have a sense of humor or borrow someones!!!

Everything you need to know!

In a word, WOW! The first part of the book, written by Jerry Wayne, a successful patient, is both an inspirational and humorous narrative of a personal weigh loss journey. The remainder of the book is a well written, easy to read and understand explanation of what every weightloss surgery patient needs to know to be successful. Katrina explains everything so well, recommends foods, portions, nutrients, as well as exercise. As I approach my own weightloss surgery date coming up soon I plan to have this at my side! Katrina has put together a terrific guide to stay healthy and successful after weightloss surgery!! Thank you so much Katrina and Jerry!!

This book is the real deal - tells you the good and bad. I really enjoyed it - read the whole book in one day!

this is an outstanding book on gastric bypass but it didn't go far enough. it needed to cover the period after 6 months out and beyond.
