I love this book. Written in a "letter to a friend" style, each one relates Walt Wingfield's adventure of the day back home to his friend Ed. Walt is a former CEO of a big city brokerage house, who gave it all up to live the country life as a farmer. He's now married to Maggie, one of the small town's locals. I found myself rolling my eyes along with Maggie, as Walt tries to relate to the cast of quirky, but homespun charaters that populate Persephone Township and the comic misadventures that ensue. I wasn't aware of the first book, Letters from Wingfield Farm, when I picked this one up to read, but it is definitely next on my reading list.
