I read the book from cover to cover. I have all of Leo Laporte's books, listen to his podcast This Week in Tech (TWiT), and watch his cable TV show.

Leo Laporte is Amazing!

I wish he would have produced a book for 2007 and 2008, because Leo Laporte is a wealth of knowledge. Even though this book is a year old, I still find it a good source of information.

You'll Win at Trivial Pursit with This One

For those of you know do know Leo Leporte, let me fill you in. He's one of the busiest, friendliest, and very knowledgeable guys around today. He's on TV, the radio, and on a dozen podcasts. Leo knows technology. Leo Laporte's 2006 guide to Technology Almanac is a good companion if you're looking to discover more about the present and past technology. Each week has a theme that is discovered in more detail. There are gadgets of the week, tips, and 'this week in technology" tidbits. It's written with a sense of humor and a worthy purchase for any technology geeks at heart (like me).

Computer tips

As usual Leo Laporte has put out a book worth reading even if you are not a dedicated geek. It is chock full of tips and tricks for the beginner through expert computer user. I will be waiting for the 2007 Almanac to come out.
