I bought this book for a class on ethics. It was very dull to have to read, but it did contain some very useful information about famous cases relating to ethical and legal problems (e.g. intelligence testing with diverse populations, reproductive rights of people with disabilities, crossing ethical boundaries, etc.). Provides social workers and lay people with a basis or basic foundation as an introducation to the "process" of law. The book is well written --easy to read. It provides a snapshot to serveral important areas of health and human services. Only draw back is it is dated. Several key cases since written effect the profession and should be revised or updated.
