I'll admit when I first read this book I was frustrated with the heroine. She was stubborn and prideful to a fault--which of course was the point. But by the end of the story I was totally sold on her transformation and her romantic relationship with Kavan. This is a sweet story where the characters--especially the heroine--grow and change in a satisfying way. Well written, Lambert's Pride is a fun read with a great message about pride and trying to hang on to control, instead of turning burdens over to God. Nicely done!
A charming love story

"Lambert's Pride" is a charming tale of a young lady, Elizabeth Lambert, who is consumed with achievement. When she takes the summer to work at her family's business while she waits for responses to her applications for a Masters Degree Program, she meets Ranger Kavan Donovan. A series of events prompts Elizabeth to ask herself if God is trying to tell her that His plans for her life are not the same as hers. This is a lovely and heartwarming story. The writing is so fluid-like, that I find it hard to believe two authors worked on this book. But the talent of Lynn Coleman and Rachel Hauck creates a lovely setting filled with likeable characters that will make you want to read its sequels.
