After years of working in a factory, Ginger decides to go back to school and join the 9-to-5 white-collar world. The higher she climbs, however, the more her jealous, controlling husband tries to pull her back down. Desperate to hold onto the things she loves, yet driven to achieve more, Ginger must make choices that are both extraordinary difficult--and ultimately freeing.

Ms. McMillan, I thoroughly enjoyed your book. So, when is the TV series coming out? You think Oprah will buy the rights to your book? I am really concerned with Ginger and Jackson, though. I would like to know what happens to them. I think the book did start off a little slow, but I stuck with it and afterwards I could not put it down. And that Katherine... I love her!!! She added so much to the book and I laughed at each hilarious comment she made regarding Mae Thelma. Speaking of which, whatever happened to her sanctified and righteous self along with her ex-con husband, Robert Earl? He's not going to return to jail is he? How's Kim coming along with Mr. Bill and her corporate enterprise? You know you are going to have to come up with a sequel soon.
Characters struggle for individuality in life & in Christ.

Rosalyn McMillan's Knowing is a scandalous, sexy, yet spirit-filled book. The book dealt with the constant pressure of being an individual in a profession, a marriage as well as an individual in Christ. Ginger, Rosalyn's main character was constantly striving to prove her self-worth as a mother, wife and a professional in a marriage that did not except ninety's women. Though Ginger and Jackson managed to maintain a fiery love in the bedroom, each of their desires of a mate were unfulfilled. Kim, another character in the book struggles with her sexual immorality, her mother and father's enamoring love and her own spiritual convictions. In an effort to climb the corporate ladder, Kim chose an avenue that jeopardizes her desire for loving fulfillment. Finally, there is Katherine and Mae Thelma who choose other lengths to fulfill their lack of sexual intimacy. Constant acts of sexual immorality is being displayed, including fornication, masturbation, homosexuality and maybe even adultery. However, all characters are convicted by the Holy Spirit of their individual faults. Will they make things right?
