Very bad ending

I have enjoyed this series until this book. The plot isn't as good as the other seven. The characters are dull. Then to have such a sad ending just isn't what I expect in cozy mysteries. I read the cozy mysteries to enjoy the characters and the plot. Not to be reminded of the horrors of the world.

Wasted hours of my life!

Because I love the different mystery series I usually buy the complete series. I thought 8 would be OK. The first book was not so great but I had seven more to go. You would not imagine that after 8 books the lead man is killed. This was such a shock and disappointment I couldn't sleep. I wrote reviews in my head (I'm sure that some could not be printed). Actually none of the 8 were very interesting. I think I will buy only one at a time from now on. I will certainly not try any of this authors again.

Hated This Last Release

Not only was this the last book but throughout the entire series a relationship was built then one of the main characters was killed off.. What a horrible way to leave your readers!!! We read for enjoyment and escape from the pain of real life..

Last book in the series

I have immensely enjoyed this series and was disappointed when I found out it was the last one. Not anymore, wish I hadn't read it at all. It's bad enough when an author kills off a regular character, but one of the MAIN ones! Come on Ms. Adams, that simply wasn't fair.
