Katie Weston thinks that her appearance is more likely to incite pity than romance. She feels unkempt, haggard, and exhausted from working half the night to catch up on orders for her spectacular party cakes. When Lieutenant Commander Camden Carter insists that she take one more order, for his Admiral's retirement party cake, Katie relents...only after he promises to find her an assistant.
