When Jesus of Nazareth was nailed to a Roman cross, a very long journey came to an end. This journey began in eternity past as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit set Their hearts on that cross and began working toward it. It finally brought the Son from the glories of heaven to this earth, where He steadily approached that cross and there secured eternal salvation for His people.
