The Layman's Bible Book Commentary is a 24 volume set of books that explains the Bible for lay readers and students. THis book explains the books of Joshua, Judges and Ruth. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book is part of the Layman's Bible Book Commentary series, and was written by Dr. Dan G. Kent, associate professor of Old Testament at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. The commentary on each of the three books begins with a nice introduction that covers such things as what the book is about, who wrote it and why, and how the book was used. After that, the author the author divides the book into logical sections, and then examines the text verse-by-verse. I must say that this is a very good, very useful commentary. I found the authors writing to be very understandable and quite informative. If you are planning on teaching a Sunday school class on anything connected to these books of the Bible, then I would highly recommend that you get this commentary!
