This is a detailed book describing how our health care system works. I enjoyed reading this book for my class, because it accurately describes the health care delivery system. It opened my eyes of what's going on in health care and how consumers are dealing with it. I recommend this book for anyone who is interested in health care.
An excellent overview

A solid general survey of the US health care system. Provides demographic and comparative perspectives, discusses political and economic policy in a clear and balanced way, plus gives insight into the institutional settings and professional environments where health care carried out. Each chapter is worthwhile and contributes to clarifying one aspect or another of the often bewildering U.S. health care industry.
Well written and interesting book about a dry subject.

The chapters in this book fly by and the author does a great job of making complex topics concerning health care easy and understandable. Although this book is required for a class I am in and wasn't bought for pleasure, I do not mind reading it and actually enjoy it.
