This is my daughters' favorite picture book

Peterkin and his friends, Mr. Rabbit and Ms. Hedgehog, take a trip through a magic meadow and save a little bird for its parents. This is a sweet and unaffected look at spring which my two young girls love, and I wish it were still in print. Ms. Bume's art is watercolorish and enticing to a small child's eye. A must for any parent tired of all the serial or agenda books available today.
