Very inspiring book by a man suffering from Multiple Sclerosis. Mr. Holtackers is a Physical Therapist who has studied and worked at the Mayo Clinic. In the book, he thoroughly explores the stages people go through after being diagnosed with a chronic illness, discussing his own feelings, health, and relationships in depth. The open way Holtackers writes about his experiences in the book really make you look inside yourself and come to terms with your own feelings and fears. In the end, Mr. Holtacker discusses how he not only finally came to terms with his diagnosis, but now embraces it. Mr. Holtacker has truly become a champion despite his disease. What he has accomplished is both amazing and inspiring. So quit feeling bad for yourself! I found this book very helpful in my own diagnosis with MS and would recommend it to anyone newly diagnosed with any chronic disease or just needing some reassurance after living with a chronic disease for a while. You won't look at your disease the same after your done reading it!
