Apple just launched the new 2022 iPhone SE, which offers the processing power of the iPhone 13 and is built very similar to the iPhone 13 second-generation (2020) model. According to Apple CEO Tim Cook, the device will feature Apple's "state of the art technology" at an "affordable price." The updated phone builds on the success of previous Phone SE models, including the original iPhone SE and the 2020 release of the iPhone SE.

The iPhone SE (3rd generation, 2022) has a built-in A15 chip, similar to the iPhone 13 smartphone series. This model's 4.7-inch display paired with such a powerful processor chipset may well make this iPhone SE the most unnecessarily over-the-top smartphone on the market.

The company also suggested that the glass on the front and back of the iPhone SE will be the same as the glass on the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro. Another balance in this equation is IP67 water and dust resistance.

There's still a physical home button, and the display is still rectangular. There's still a camera on the rear - although as a 12-megapixel shooter it should be more powerful, using Apple's Deep Fusion processing.
