Over 400 Discrepant events to interest and motivate your students in learning science. If you had to invite a speaker to do a presentation to teachers or students of science, or to the general public... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I bought this book to help adjust to curriculum changes in the classroom. What I found was a great resource of mini-experiments and demonstrations that spark students curiosity and get them asking questions. Some of these experiments are not easy and can really challenge a teacher to set up and use. Others are pretty sensitive and take time and trial-and-error before you get it right. But in the long run the concepts taught and the discussions that can be developed are well worth the effort. A great book for any science teacher looking to bring some inquiry and thought to their teaching!
