Following the discovery of a woman's body in the forest, an intriguing series of events complicate the investigation and for a long time many questions remain unanswered. The police soon discover that a lot of people were in the forest that weekend. A group of hillwalkers, some very protective bird-watchers, a collection of costumed full moon-worshippers, and two ramblers who cannot be contacted. There are also a variety of local residents, each with their own reasons for denying being there. And who are the people secretly meeting in the room above the casino? Will Detective Inspector Brown and his team ever solve this very complex case?
