This short book (80 pages) by Swindoll is one of the most practical books I have ever read. It will be difficult to practice, but if you want to establish a meaningful, full, devotional life, this may be the best thing you can get. It is profound in its simplicity. Gut wrenching in its difficulty to accomplish.

WOW, what an impact this book is having on my life

I could never imagined how taking the time to enjoy solutitude with my Lord and Savior was what was missing from my life. Swindoll reminds us that when we are sooo busy, we are missing what is most important--HIM, our Almighty, the great I AM. This book was so short, but it's words and basis will remind you of what is probably lacking in your life. I was reminded that depth is needed for a relationship to grow. Solitude is needed to "grow" that depth and stillness to hear HIM. Go for it--read this book! What have you got to lose?
