A huge collection of folk favorites from over 50 countries, including Australia, Canada, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Scotland, Spain, U.S.A., Wales, and more. 169 songs in all. 4 inch. x 6.75 inch.
This book has 250 songs for a total of 52 countries, some of whom I've never heard of. This makes for great variety. You also get to learn where these songs originated. For example, I didn't know Kumbaya came from the Congo. I was glad to find out that most of the songs' notes fall in the range of my Tenor recorder. Be aware that, like the other books in the Hal Leonard Paperback Songs series, this is in the size of a paperback. This hasn't been a problem since the little arms of my music stand can reach (barely) the pages.
a fantastic little book!
