Should be mandatory reading for intecessory groups!

I'm one of those people who rarely lends out the books that I purchase but rather tend to add them to my own personal reference library. "Intercessory Prayer" is different; much different. I've loaned this book to several people in our church intercessory prayer group and each of them has agreed that it provides some much needed, life-changing, mind-opening key truths about our role in this PARTNERSHIP with God. Dutch Sheets has done a tremendous job of illuminating the truth that God never intended prayer, especially intercessory prayer, to be a spectator sport.

The Foremost book on the practical application of Prayer.

4-11-99 This book is not for those who wish a quick fix. It is the compiling of one mans ministry over 20 years of experience are recorded here. It is a guide that will allow you to follow in the footsteps of intercession. Intercession is not easy, it is the hardest work that you will ever be involved in, because it asks you to be a servant of all. The author deals with the difficulty but gives you an aswer that is not only practicle but functional... You do not have to be a scholar to understand the terminology, and all of the explanantions are given clearly and concisely. I have given this book to over 50 people and used it as an instructional aid in teaching on prayer in my Congregation, it changed and touched the lives of all those who participated. If you are looking for practical help this book is the guide.

Sound theology, useful examples, open testimonies. Dutch Sheets has allowed the Spirit to lead this definative book on Intercessory Prayer. It is a must for every Chrisian's library. This book will show you how to pray down God's power.

Intercessory Prayer is a solid bible-based look at empowered prayer. The author, Dutch Sheets, shows the reader that prayer is essential for God, the Holy Spirit to be released to work in our world. I believe that the author's balance between God's word and personal experience is what makes this book come alive. I have personally been changed and challenged to live a prayer empowered life depending on God to work in a mighty way in my life and in those around me that I am interceding for. Both conservative and charismatic believers will rise up to the challenge!

There simply isn't a better book on the subject of Prayer

I'm not sure where the previous comments came from regarding this book straying from the biblical record - it simply isn't true - or either that, they didn't read the book. Dutch Sheet's book, Intecessory Prayer is simply the most definiative AND bibically sound book on prayer that there is today - so much so, that I would call it a DEFINITAVE WORK. There are many other very good books on prayer out there, but this book provides a theologically sound explanation of prayer which almost every Christian can apply immediately, leading them to a more fullilling prayer life. This revelatory information contained in this book has lifted my prayer life to a new level - I'll never be the same. Thanks Dutch!
