Worth a Look

I am a flight instructor, though I do not work for PIC. I do use this book, and encourage my students to use buy and read it. The straight-forward explanations are effective, and each chapter has a real-life story that illustrates the concept of the chapter. Each chapter also has a "To the CFII" section that is helpful to instrument students, student CFIIs, and active CFIIs alike.

A must for instrument pilots

Instrument flying explained in a way that is more easily understood than any other book ever written. Peter Dogan explains in half the words compared to any other text books. A must for the serious instrument & student pilot.

This book is adapted from the syllabus for Professional Instrument Courses. PIC trains pilots for their instrument rating in 10 days, in part due to their excellent teaching aid/syllabus. This book not only covers all you need to learn how to fly on the instruments, it does it in a clear and simple manner. Numerous photos and illustrations clarify important concepts.
