D. P. Chattopadhyaya is Professor of Philosophy, Jadavpur University, Calcutta. The author of thirteen books and over eighty articles, he was a past President of Indian Philosophical Congress. He is Chairman of the Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR), and President of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study.
