My older niece used to love this one. She seems to outgrown it now, at the age of five, but up until last year it was HER FAVORITE EVAH! It's just a love poem to cats everywhere. Perfect, I think, for babies and toddlers, and also for early readers who happen to, as the narrator does, love cats.

I purchased this book for one of my godchildren. I too enjoyed the lively pictures. Great book for cat lovers of all ages!
Captivates the little reader

My 9 month old loves this book and it's counterpart "I Love Dogs" She loves the colors and pictures (I assume) because she lights up when she sees this book compared to all the others we have. The pages are sturdy and brightly colored and she enjoys flipping through the pages by herself as well as having it read to her. I understand how older readers might move beyond the text, but it's a great start to get younger ones interested in books.
An exciting find!

My daughter, 11 months, and I both enjoyed this book from the first time I read it to her. I now use it as one of the books that can be guaranteed to captivate and entertain her when she's in a fussy mood. The language is simple and clean yet interesting with a nice slight rhyming quality. It also lends itself to further discussions of what's going on the drawings, which gives the book growth potential as she gets older. The pictures are large and easy to look at, as is the size and type of font. I personally enjoyed that it wasn't a board book, but sturdy enough to withstand baby page turning and slobbery chewing. All in all a delightful addition to our library -- I'm buying the rest in the series.
