moving poems by a young girl with learning disabilities

This beautiful set of moving poems was written by a young girl with learning disabilities at a time when "learning disability" was not understood or even defined. These poems made me realize how, even the very young, have the capacity to understand so much. As a physician who treats patients with physical disabilities, I have often used these poems for inspiration. With faith in our world, (even our imperfect world where little girls are teased and much sadness can exist), we can reach and grow and "climb our mountains". A wonderful little book.
