Anna and Josh spend time with forest rangers, learning what they do on the job. Rangers are pictured as male and female and from a variety of cultures. The importance of conservation, preventing forest fires, and protecting wildlife are mentioned. This is an excellent book for young children. The illustrations are realistic and the text is concise (approx. 11-16 words per page) but informative and fun. It is also in a sturdy board-book form
