As a college instructor, I found this textbook invaluable for teaching preservice teachers how to teach narrative, expository, descriptive and persuasive writing. The explanations, personal examples and models of each genre were extremely practical and easy to understand. It is obvious that the author used and perfected these strategies as she provided inservice to hundreds of teachers and students in her workshops.
