Very Good Book for Young-Adult Readers

Bridget, an orphan, and her brother Morgan who doesn't talk, come apon a house in the woods (hense the name). Bridget discovers papers and letters in the abandoned house and her history unfolds. I'd reccomend it to all young adult readers.
