First Romance Novel I Ever Read

Hot Touch was the first romance novel I ever read and I dare say it sparked a lifelong love of reading. My mother received a package of 4 books as part of a promo Loveswept had. To this day she's still not sure who signed her up for it, but needless to say, she didnt read them. She gave them to me and I poured through them at a remarkable rate. Hot Touch, tells the story of Paul Belue, a Cajun that has a film crew come to his L.A. home to film a movie. Intro Caroline Fitzsimmons, an animal trainer with a uncanny knack for getting animals to do what she wants, who also has an intense dislike for the Southern town she's forced to work in. Paul slowly chips away at the wall Carolina has around her heart, and as he does, he discovers the reason behind her hatred of Louisiana. But sometimes digging up the past isn't always such a good thing. This story was also one of the first I read that combined paranormal qualities in a romance novel. This is a total classic romance novel, and I cant wait to own it again. I still have my original copy, but after almost 20 years, it's very beat up and falling apart. BUY this book if you love your romance novel with a small paranormal twist. Buy it even of you don't because it's just that good. Hot Touch
