Very concise with only one obvious omission.

Let me first state that I AM an educator in the service of a prominent northeastern university and the history of porn does fall into my professional sphere. I do have an enormous library of contemporary pornography sources ranging from Classical (Hesiod's account of Homer's creation "Doing it Mycenaean Style") to the late 19th century (Lord Chelmsford's "Brevet Colonel Crosby and the Whorish Boers"). This particular book is a good overall account of Germany's fine porn heritage, ranging from the odd development of the typical Bavarian's fascination with rooftops and horse-drawn buggies to the Alsatian Province's preference to hand-drawn visual stimulation. The only glaring omission that I notice was Von Clausewitz's little known treatise on bra removing. I did give this book 4 deserving stars though and would recommend to any student taking a "The Teutonic's Fascination with Naughty Bits" class. . My strongest recommendation to any student of the porn-history field is still Chelmsford's "Brevet Colonel Crosby and his St. Crispin's Day Holiday".
