I thought vol. 9 of "High School Debut" was a little slow, but fortunately, this volume is more interesting. It starts with a continuation on the sports festival arc. This part was ok. I thought it was pretty predictable, and it was a typical situation for a shojo manga. But I enjoyed the other parts more. The next segment is an episode where Yoh visits Haruna's family for the first time. I thought their reactions were funny and realistic. I also thought it did a good job of showing how tense Haruna and Yoh were over the situation. The final part of this volume starts when Yoh begins prep school. A strange girl keeps insulting him, and then she develops a crush on him. I thought this new character was funny. I also liked how this part involved another character whom we haven't really seen much of (no, I'm not going to tell you who). All in all, this was an improvement upon vol. 9. The last part leads into the next volume, and I'm looking forward to reading that one, too.
