A Lovely Book

Linda Evans Shepherd has compiled some wonderful, heart-warming stories in her latest collection. These stories not only give your spirit a lift; they inspire the reader with all kinds of creative ideas for romance!

Great Romantic Read

I Just finished Heart-Stirring Stories of Romance today, and it truly touched my heart. The stories were great! My favorite story was the one about the husband who had promised his wife an emerald bracelet. (I won't give away the ending but it was awesome!) The story made me cry with joy! It showed me God performs miracles every day 24-7 and that he will never let us down. The main reason I purchaed the book is because I'm a hopeless romantic and love real-life stories that show romance-made-in-heaven. I will be sharing this book with a lot of my friends. Thanks for the great read!

What a delight this book is to read! Tucked in here and there are snipets of Linda Evans Shepherd's own twenty-year romance. There are some terrific stories by a few established authors. And thanks to Linda and Broadman & Holman Publishers, a large number of novice writers have an arena in which to showcase their very excellent stories. You won't be disappointed. And if you think men aren't so romantic, search out those stories written by men. What a joy you'll find in reading how they dearly love their wives, and the extent to which they go to be romantic. Besides romance, there are some belly-laughs, causes for tears, and a renewed hope in real love and the unique ways we share it, romantically speaking. The other thing found in this book is the unvarnished truth. No one pretends life is all love without sorrow or troubles, or that people never tarnish themselves. It does portray that when love is something done to and for the ones we love, it is thoroughly romantic.By the way, I wrote "The Perfectly Matched Pair," a true love story about an older couple who loved each other unconditionally.
